It was the 21st night of September, so I had things to do, whether they "fit" the program or not. This show suffered from an embarrassment of riches. It was "listening party" day for the [as-yet] unreleased [in the United States] Aphex Twin record, and Rudy had just sent me his mix of a new Veldt track. Dream-pop and electro whatever it is that Richard James does? YES PLEASE.
Follies: it was not really the equinox, yet. Could I start getting memos about this? They would help. Also, I've been so traumatized by song titles on WARP records that, PTSD-style, I have come to regard totally pronounceable Aphex Twin track names as hieroglyphics. I'll seek professional help as soon as I can set up a GoFundMe campaign to pay for it.
