Hello, and welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today on the podcast, I’m excited to have an interview with Rowena Scherer. Rowena grew up in Malaysia and some of her fondest memories were cooking with her family. But it wasn’t until she was on vacation with her children that she saw the joy on their faces while they took a cooking class, but at the same time, struggled to cut an onion. That was when she knew something had to change. As a result, Rowena left her job on Wall Street to create an experiential way to teach cooking skills to kids while also giving them bite-sized lessons in world geography, history, and culture. Today on the podcast, we talk about Rowena’s business, Eat to Explore, her new book Taste of the World, and her desire and intention to help children not only learn the life skills of cooking but also how to become good global citizens.
