The College Success Habits Podcast
Education:Self-Improvement
Ep #42 - In this week's episode we'll discuss how social media affects your mental health and what you can do to monitor and control it so you aren't at the mercy of the emotional ebbs and flows that your phone can put you through at any given moment.
College is a time to explore and learn new things about yourself, your academia, and the world as a whole. Sometimes it can be hard to balance school, work, and your social life - while also trying to take care of your physical and mental health.
Now, add your phone, and everything that it brings to your fingertips, and ask yourself how difficult will balancing all the previously mentioned things above AND the commitments you make to your favorite social media apps.
Your mental health helps determine how you handle stress, anxiety, social interactions, i.e. how you relate to others, and your decision making process. Make sure you are focused on those aspects of yourself more than you are focused on the trending hashtag of the day.
